FXSound
FxSound is a software that enhances your computer’s audio by essentially adding an external sound card. While it excels in this basic function, it offers much more. Designed to provide advanced audio technology for all computer users, FxSound works across various operating systems, though it’s important to note that it won’t function on Windows Vista or earlier versions, nor will it work with sound cards based on Vista.
One of the standout features of FxSound is its taskbar notification support. Programs like Skype, which alert you to upcoming chats or video calls, have this functionality built into FxSound as well. This means you can stay updated on notifications without being constantly online, making it useful for staying connected at home or work without the need for constant internet use.
Another great feature of FxSound is its automatic device detection for playback. When you plug in a new device that FxSound supports, it will automatically begin playing the associated audio. If you need to switch devices or plug in something unsupported, this feature is especially handy. By clicking on the “FXptions” button in the main menu, you can access and manage various playback devices with ease.
